Eastern Conference Final: Celtics defeat Heat in Game 5, force Game 6 in series

Boston Celtics are two games from making history after they claimed a 110-97 win over the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final to send the series to a sixth game.

Having lost their first three games in the series, Boston Celtics finally picked up a win in Game 4 to force a fifth game at the TD Garden.

The Celtics showed great basketball and ran the game throughout, establishing a healthy lead in the first three quarters before the Heat fought in vain in the fourth. D’Tigers star Gabe Vincent was missing through injury for the Heat.

Derrick White led the scoring for the Celtics with 24 points and Marcus Smart scored 23 points in the game, while Jayson Tatum finished with 21 points and 11 assists. Duncan Robinson scored 18 points for the Heat and Bam Adebayo finished the game with 16 points.

Game 6 will take place on Sunday in Miami with the Celtics looking to become the first side to overcome a 0-3 deficit in NBA history.
