Actress Iyabo Ojo sobbed bitterly after a fan desecrated her expensive outfit at the recent AMVCA 2023 event in Lagos.
Recall that earlier this month, celebrities from all walks of life descended in style on the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the 9th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2023
Iyabo Ojo has now revealed how much she paid for the stunning, glamorous dress, revealing that she spent $50,000, or around N37.5 million in Nigerian currency. Toyin Lawani, a famous stylist, created the ensemble.
Reposting the video on Instagram of the fan mimicking her appearance at the AMVCA, Iyabo Ojo fumed saying “Please, i need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers number, i need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000 💵 dress, no wayyyyyy
The revelation of the amount spent has since sparked reactions from her fans.
One of them on Instagram wrote “Be calming down ….$50,000 wey you suppose take support motherless. You spend am for just one cloth”
While another wrote “U mean this dress is 37.5 million ???????”
