Nothing will be launching the Nothing Phone (2) in the US, India, and other markets in July. The exact launch date of the device is yet to be announced by the company. While we wait for the launch, the brand has been confirming several aspects of its upcoming smartphone through its Twitter handle. Recently, the company confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will pack a bigger battery and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Additionally, the brand revealed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be made in India. We even saw the renders of the Phone (2) courtesy of reputed tipster OnLeaks yesterday.
Carl Pei Likely Refutes The Authencity Of Leaked Nothing Phone (2) Renders
The leaked renders revealed that the Nothing Phone (2) will have the same design language as that of the Phone (1) with a few minor changes. However, soon after these renders were posted, Nothing CEO Carl Pei posted a Tweet containing the single word “Fake”. Through this Tweet, the CEO supposedly is refuting the authenticity of the leaked Nothing Phone (2) renders.

It is worth noting that the publication when posted the Nothing Phone (2) renders claimed in its report that renders are created based on live pictures of a testing stage unit. The renders represent the device at a specific point in the development stage, and it is possible that we could end up seeing some minor changes in design until the official launch.
If we have a look at the above renders, we can see that the device has thin bezels across the display and a punch-hole cutout. The rear of the handset includes a dual-camera setup. The lighting elements besides the camera module have been redesigned. Additionally, the renders also showcase that the Phone (2) frame has been slightly rounded, thereby providing a more comfortable grip and a premium aesthetic appeal. The LED flash at the back also has been upgraded to a dual-LED configuration, as well as the wireless charging coil has undergone a significant change as it now has multiple small strips of light.
As far as the specifications of the Phone (2) go, the device is confirmed to boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The handset might have a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone under the hood there will be Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. As per the Geekbench test result, the device will pack up to 12GB of RAM. On the software side of things, we can expect the handset to boot Android 13 out of the box. The device will pack a 4,700mAh battery.
