The Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers state, Hon Chukwuemeka Aaron, has said contrary to speculations in some quarters, former Governor Nyesom Wike will not leave the party to any other.
Speaking during a biweekly prayer and worship session tagged “One hour with Jesus at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Hon Aaron disclosed that those professing doom for the PDP in the state would be disappointed.
He urged party loyalists to remain steadfast and ignore the lies being peddled about the former governor, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
“I want to tell our people to remain steadfast because to say that our leader, Nyesom Wike is leaving PDP is not true. Nyesom Wike is not leaving PDP. If anybody tells you that tell them that it is not true.
“Rivers State is PDP and will remain PDP. The governor of Rivers state is PDP, the 3 Senators are PDP. Out of the 13 House of Reps members, 11 are PDP. The State House of Assembly members are all PDP. So we are not going anywhere”, he stated.
He commended staff and others who have been worshipping at the secretariat, saying their prayers have kept the party stronger and enabled it to produce the desired results.
“The prayers from this altar is working wonders for the party. Most of the judgements that were delivered were in our favour. We believe that the remaining ones will also be in our favour because we won the elections. The elections were free and fair.
“Those who went to court to challenge our victory will all fall because we campaigned, went round the whole LGAs and when the election came PDP won “.
In his exhortation, the member representing Etche State Constituency 2 at the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Ignatius Onwuka, admonished Christians to always exhibit the virtue of obedience, saying Adam’s disobedience to God was the root cause of man’s sufferings on earth.
