I left my small town for New York City, and while I don’t miss much about the heartland, I do occasionally crave that country chic style.
Yes, sometimes I catch myself thinking of my old pair of Levi’s 727s, sequin-studded True Religion tank, and the well-loved pair of Ariat Cowboy boots that I abandoned in the hay loft — basically, all the genuine western wear that has been stolen by the city slickers and rebranded as cool again.
But, now I’m one of them. While I have no issue cosplaying as a cowgirl for certain occasions, especially during concert season, I often have to use Amazon to fastrack my festival fashion to my front door. With a star-studded lineup set to take New York City by storm this summer (Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour included), I’m already thinking about which boots to break out and hats to dust off.
Admittedly, my favorite part about snagging the blue-collar look is the fact that it rarely bites the wallet. You can find a fury of Western finds on Amazon for no more than $50; whether you’re ready to flaunt a fringe moment or brave enough to whip out the assless chaps.

Besides the fact that a barrel-leg seems to be trending for 2025, these overalls also score big bucks for the fact that they come with a practical front bib pocket for space to stash all your concert essentials (though we also suggest a fanny pack for that.) Between the adjustable tie-waist and loose skirt, you should have no worries scooting around in your seats or dancing in the desert — it’s a comfy style no matter the destination.
These boots were made for walking — and more! Authentic leather cowboy boots come with a hefty price tag, but for festival season, you’ll probably want to find a pair that you won’t mind spilling some drinks on — and that doesn’t require much breaking in (because nobody likes blisters). Not all of us are ready to jump the gun on designer aviators (though I must admit I’m obsessed with these lenses by Mau Jin). Unfortunately, few of us want to fork out over $300 for a pair that could be lost or stolen at a festival, which is why I highly suggest investing in some retro sunnies that are under $15, like these by Appasal.
Smocked denim dress, say less. This silhouette is almost certain to turn heads and receive compliments, and the details practically sell themselves.
