Darren Criss Reunites with ‘Glee’ TV Husband Chris Colfer at Tony Awards Afterparty

Klaine reunited at an afterparty for the 2025 Tony Awards!

Darren Criss was seen celebrating his win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical with his TV husband Chris Colfer following the ceremony.

In a video shared by a fan account, Criss, 38, and Colfer, 35 — who played Blaine Anderson and Kurt Hummel, respectively, on Glee — were excitedly holding the Tony award as they posed for cameras.

Criss won the Tony for his role as Oliver in Maybe Happy Ending. He beat out Andrew Durand for Dead Outlaw, Tom Francis for Sunset Blvd., fellow Glee alum Jonathan Groff for Just in Time, James Monroe Iglehart for A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical and Jeremy Jordan for Floyd Collins.

In April, Criss’ former Glee costars Lea Michele and Dianna Agron visited him at Maybe Happy Ending, in which he stars opposite Helen J. Shen.

Michele and Agron shared photos and videos of the outing on Instagram.

“Night out with my beautiful friend from high school to see our former classmate perform on Broadway,” Michele, 38, wrote alongside photos of her posing together with Criss and Agron.

“WMHS FOREVER,” Agron shared in her own post, referencing the fictional Ohio-based alma mater, William McKinley High School, at the center of the Fox series. “Completely & utterly heartwarming all around — another huge round of applause for you, Darren.”’

Maybe Happy Ending follows two retired “Helperbot” robots in the distant future as they form an unlikely relationship. The production, which had its world premiere in 2016 in Seoul, Korea, opened on Broadway in November to rave reviews.

As for Criss and Colfer, the pair starred as Blaine and Kurt, who became a beloved couple and later married on Glee, which ran for six seasons on Fox from 2009 to 2015.

During an appearance at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo in April 2024, Criss said the opportunity to portray a gay character with such magnitude was “f—ing awesome. 

In a video, which was captured by a fan, he added the onscreen relationship was “a narrative that I cared deeply about.” 

Though he wasn’t a gay actor, Criss added that he knew the gravity and importance of playing Blaine Anderson authentically.

“They hired me… They said, ‘You’re the guy,’ and I said, ‘OK, I’m the guy, I will do my best,'” he said.
