While traveling through Oregon, Jason Kelce found a dessert that reminded him of home.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, June 4, the retired NFL star shared that he was driving in North Bend, Ore., when he found an “incredible spot on the side of the road.”

He went on to share highlights from his meal at the Pancake Mill, which even evoked a memory of his mother Donna Kelce‘s baking.

“Service was patient, food was great, nick-nacks for sale, adorable, great pancakes, and cream cheese pie,” Jason wrote in the caption alongside a carousel of snaps.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, poses in front of the eatery in one shot, while another photo shows sandwiches, pancakes and other dishes scattered across a table.

One image is a close-up of the partially eaten cream pie that had Jason feeling nostalgic.

“Donna used to make a strawberry cream cheese pie growing up, so it felt extra special,” he wrote. “If you catch yourself out this way, enjoyed this quaint spot very much.”

Donna, who’s also mom to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is  known for another one of her baked treats — her homemade cookies, which she memorably brought to her sons ahead of the Super Bowl faceoff in 2023.

Donna has shared the ingredients for the cookies, which include milk and white chocolate chips, brown and white sugar, sweet cream butter, cinnamon and optional pecans.

When asked if Mama Kelce would be making her “famous” cookies for this year’s Super Bowl, Travis, 35, assured PEOPLE and other outlets at a February media day that she would.

“Oh, you know it, you know it,” he said. “Never played a Super Bowl without them.”

“I mean, the biggest thing you enjoy is being around the family more,” the ESPN broadcaster told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the Amazon MGM Studios Upfront on May 12. “I think in-season, I was doing Monday Night Football, you’re doing the podcast, you’re working a lot, the late-night show later in the season. So I think now that it’s the off-season, you get time to be around the family more.”

And that includes his younger brother, he added

“I always look forward to spending more time with Trav,” Jason said.
