Katie Fillmore was at a family gathering when a lightbulb went off. She thought it would be a blast to turn her family’s quirks and personalities into a game.

As a TikTok creator, she was always looking for creative ways to engage her audience, and she saw an opportunity to combine that with something personal. She decided to create a game that would celebrate her family’s unique dynamics while providing a hilarious, interactive way for them to bond. Her idea? Turn the classic game of Guess Who? into a fun, family-centric experience.

To create the board, Fillmore started by gathering photos of family members that captured their essence: funny expressions, iconic outfits and memorable moments. She then cut the photos down and pasted them onto the original game cards. It took about a day or two to assemble.

“They were intrigued but skeptical at first,” Fillmore tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Once they saw their faces on the board, though, it turned into a mix of laughter and excitement. Some were flattered, others were hilariously embarrassed.”

“The first game was chaotic in the best way,” she adds. “Instead of asking traditional questions like ‘Do they wear glasses?’ we asked things like ‘Would this person survive on a deserted island?’ or ‘Does this person always forget birthdays?’ The room was filled with laughter and playful debates.”

While playing, Fillmore says the most memorable moments come when someone guesses a person. Whether they’re right or wrong never matters — it always leads to hilarious reactions as the person defends their reasoning.

“The hardest part was narrowing down which family members to include without offending anyone,” she says. “During gameplay, keeping everyone focused amid all the joking around was also tricky!”

Not long after creating the personalized game, Fillmore posted a video of herself playing the game with her sister Elizabeth Kirkpatrick and husband, Jay Fillmore, on TikTok on a whim, thinking it might just entertain her followers. But when it went viral, amassing more than 10 million views, she was stunned. Seeing people connect with her family’s humor made her feel like they shared something universal.

Reading the comments, she says, was both heartwarming and hilarious. “It seems like many people plan to make it for their own families,” she shares.

“The way this game would immediately hurt my feelings. Lol 😂,” one user commented.

“This would immediately turn violent in my family. Especially between my brother and I 😅,” another user wrote.

Someone else said, “I am not emotionally robust enough to play this with my family.”

As for her family members’ reactions to going viral, they were thrilled! Everyone started claiming credit for their “star moments” on the board.

“It felt amazing seeing how much joy it brought us — not just during gameplay, but afterward as we talked about memories tied to each photo.”

Fillmore hopes people see how games can bring families closer while celebrating their quirks. “It’s not just about playing — it’s about creating lasting memories together.”

And if anyone’s thinking of making their own version, she says, “Don’t overthink it! Embrace imperfections — they’re what make it personal and fun.”

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
