Did a Contestant’s IUD Fall Out on ‘Love Island USA’?
NEED TO KNOW
- Love Island USA fans spotted an object on the floor during the hit Peacock show’s June 5 episode, claiming it was a contestant’s IUD that had fallen out
- It is unlikely the contraceptive device “fell out” given that its insertion, and removal, are generally done under the care of a medical professional
- Host Ariana Madix chimed in, explaining “it’s from the flowers but this is cracking me up”
Love Island USA fans claimed to spot a contestant’s IUD on the floor during a recent episode of the steamy, romp-filled reality hit.
“Now whose IUD is on the ground,” posted one fan on X, sharing a screenshot of a small white object on the floor that bore some resemblance to an IUD. The intra-uterine device is intended to prevent pregnancy and can only be implanted in — and removed from — the uterus by a gynecologist.

In a nod to cast members’ typical sexual escapades, another fan wrote on X, “I pray this person noticed this little thing fell out before they try to get freaky.” Another oe wrote, “HELP WHOS IUD FELL ON THE GROUND OMG.”
IUDs need to be manually and deliberately removed; it’s extremely rare to have one simply fall out while someone is, say, walking across the villa on a reality TV show.
As Planned Parenthood explains, “It’s best to have a nurse or doctor take out your IUD. IUD removal is usually a pretty simple process, but there’s a chance you could hurt yourself if you try to take your own IUD out.”
One fan on TikTok posted a close-up, writing, “Am I tired or is someone’s IUD on the ground?” prompting Love Island USA host Ariana Madix to chime in, “lmao it’s from the flowers but this is cracking me up 😂”
Over on Reddit another fan shared a screenshot from last year, which showed a similar object sticking out of a flower arrangement; “Did some sleuthing and saw this post made by someone on Facebook last year! So I have a feeling it’s part of one of the flowers?”

“No no no,” commented another Redditor. “It’s funnier as an IUD.”
Still others were just amazed that people were able to spot the thin, wire-like pin on the floor; As another Redditor observed, “What kinda 4k y’all got to see stuff like this?”
