‘Destination X’ Stars Don’t Know Who Peter Weber and JaNa Craig Are (Exclusive)

The arrival of Love Island USA’s JaNa Craig and The Bachelor’s Peter Weber leave more questions than answers for the contestants of Destination X.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek of the June 10 episode of the NBC travel competition series, host Jeffrey Dean Morgan surprises contestants Shayne Cureton and Tai Lowry on the show, which tasks 10 strangers with traveling to unknown locations around Europe for a chance to win $250,000 if they can figure out where they are.
“You are about to receive a huge advantage in the game, delivered by a couple of bombshells who might just be my biggest clue yet to Destination X,” Morgan, 59, says. “What you do with that clue? Well, it is entirely up to you.”
“Just remember that in my game, every rose has its thorn — or two,” he continues.

With that, Peter, who was the lead of season 24 of The Bachelor and appeared on The Traitors season 2, introduces himself to Shayne.
Meanwhile, Tai appears shocked by JaNa’s arrival, exclaiming, “Oh my God!”
After the attorney and flight attendant asks her name, Tai tries to get a clue of their location from JaNa, 27, questions, “You know where we at?”
“No,” JaNa, who appeared on Love Island USA season 6, replies as the pair giggle together.
Peter, 33, then tells Shayne, “Congratulations. You won this challenge, and with that, you get what some would call a secret advantage,” before handing him a card.
JaNa also hands Tai a card, saying, “I have something for you since you won. This for you.”
“Choose one player to save from the Map Room,” Tai reads while Shayne is offered the opportunity to “Choose one player to send to the Map Room.”
While Shayne and Tai are excited for advantage for the map room — where designated contestants have to decide where they think they are by placing an X on a location or risk being sent home if they guess is furthest away — the pair still seem confused by JaNa and Peter’s role in the game.
“I’m not quite sure who he is or how he’s a clue, but I’m gonna focus on the advantage,” Shayne admits. “It’s a hell of a power, and I’m gonna make sure I use it wisely.”
Tai adds, “There’s so many things going through my mind. Who is this girl? And why did Jeffrey have her deliver me this information?”
According to an official synopsis, each episode of Destination X will take the players on an adventurous bus ride to “unique and unfamiliar tourist attractions that have been gamified into experiential challenges.”
“They will need to rely on their knowledge of pop culture, history, geography and observational skills to win clues to their current location and earn an all-important advantage,” reads the description. “Contestants must tap into their own personal expertise, identify hidden clues that are disguised as artifacts and discern intentional misdirects from competitors to ultimately determine their whereabouts.”
