Olympic gymnasts Jordyn Wieber and Chris Brooks have welcomed their first baby together!
Last week, Wieber, 29, shared a touching Instagram carousel, announcing the little one’s arrival. The first photo showed the married couple’s daughter, Gigi Renee Brooks, dressed in a pink, floral romper with a white headband. Other photos featured in the upload showed Gigi sleeping in a bassinet at the hospital, wrapped in her swaddle blanket.

Wieber also included a video of Gigi in the hospital, lying on top of Wieber’s mom, Rita Wieber. In the clip, the newborn practiced raising her head, to which the Olympic gymnast responded, “Okay, strong neck.”
The last photo showed Brooks, 38, enjoying skin-to-skin time with his daughter. The new dad was shirtless with his eyes closed.

“Gigi Renee Brooks 🎀🎂 Born 6/4/25 💪🏼 6 lb, 5 oz,” Wieber wrote as the caption. “So excited to welcome our precious little girl to the world! She’s teeny tiny, has lots of hair, and has already made life so much more wonderful 💕.”
Fans responded in the comment section with their well wishes.
One user wrote, “💕Congratulations 🎉 Beautiful and 💪🏼 strong like mommy!” Another added, “Congrats you two!!! She has THE best middle name.”
The new parents also received an Instagram shoutout from Wieber’s mom. “And just like that we are a family of 15 thanks to Chris and Jordyn who brought sweet little Gigi into the world!” Rita wrote, alongside images Wieber posted in her carousel.

In December 2024, Wieber and Brooks announced their pregnancy with a joint Instagram post. The couple shared a carousel, featuring a photo of them wearing coordinating red “Arkansas Mom” and “Arkansas Dad” shirts in front of Wieber’s gymnastics team at Razorbacks gymnasium.
The carousel also included a video of Wieber and Brooks surprising the team with the exciting news. Initially, they stood in front of the girls with jackets, hiding their shirts that gave away the secret. As they unzipped their outerwear, the girls jumped up and down, screaming for joy.
“➕1️⃣The Gymback family is growing! 🐗💕🥰,” they captioned the special moment.
Wieber and Brooks tied the knot on May 28, 2023, at Osage House in Bentonville, Ark. “To become husband and wife is so exciting,” she said exclusively to PEOPLE at the time. “It means we are committing to building a special and meaningful life together and to make the commitment in front of our favorite people at our wedding meant the world to us.”
The “old Hollywood glam with a modern twist”-themed ceremony was attended by 170 guests, including Wieber’s 2012 Fierce Five Olympic teammates Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross, plus Madison Kocian and Jake Dalton.
The two officially met in 2011, when they were competing at the World Gymnastics Championships in Japan, telling PEOPLE that they started as friends.
“We were friends for a few years and crossed paths many times competing internationally in gymnastics before we started dating,” Wieber remembered.
Brooks asked for Wieber’s hand in marriage 10 years after they first met in Michigan. At the time, Wieber’s induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame was taking place.
“He walked in the door, my jaw dropped, and he got on one knee,” she explained.
