Hunter Fieri and Fiancée Ask His Grandma to Be the Flower Girl at Their Wedding

Hunter Fieri and Tara Bernstein had an important question to ask his grandmother before their upcoming wedding.
In a joint post the couple shared on Instagram on Sunday, June 8, Bernstein admits, “Okay, so I’m a little bit nervous” before revealing their plans.
“We are officially asking Hunter’s grandma to be our flower girl for the wedding tonight at dinner,” the pickleball pro then shares. “We have this cute little card for her and some flowers ready, so let’s see what she says.”
The video then cuts to the family meal, where Penelope Ferry — the mother of Hunter’s dad, Food Network star Guy Fieri — is presented with a bouquet of flowers.
“Oh, that’s so sweet. These are gorgeous,” Penelope says before jokingly asking, “Am I going to be the flower girl?”
The grandmother of the groom-to-be then opens the pair’s card to find out that’s indeed what they’re asking.
“What?! What?!” she asks, shocked by their proposal. “Are you f—ing kidding me? Oh my God. What?! That is hysterical. It’s really blowing me away. I can’t believe this.”
“So, what do you say?” Tara asks.

“Of course! Are you kidding me? Thank you guys. Oh my God. I am thrilled,” Penelope gushes, before standing up to give her grandson a hug.
“Love you, Mimi,” Hunter, 28, tells her while they share an embrace.
In April, Hunter and Tara tackled another important part of wedding planning: cake tasting.
Hunter shared a photo of the couple sampling slices made by Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. He and Tara later posted a funny video that showed them bickering over how best to taste the layers.
In February, Guy, 57, told PEOPLE that the couple, who got engaged on Thanksgiving 2023, was having a hard time narrowing down the guest list for the highly anticipated event at his Northern California home later this year.

“They’re both such big personalities, and they both have a lot of friends,” noted the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host, who also shared son Ryder, 19, with wife Lori Fieri. “I mean, that’s the toughest thing. [How] those two [will] whittle it down to 350. I have no clue.”
In March, Hunter and Tara shared a joint Instagram post in which they observed that the celebration was only months away.
“less then 6 months until I get to marry my best friend❤️,” read the caption.
The accompanying video showed Bernstein leaping into Hunter’s arms on the beach.
“Jumping into forever with my favorite person ❤️🌊,” they wrote.
