Simon Cowell Lifts His Shirt to Let 1 Act ‘Freeze My Nipples’

Simon Cowell will do whatever it takes to keep Mel B to her word!

During the June 10 episode of America’s Got Talent, Simon joined one act on stage after he accepted their offer to “freeze” his nipples with dry ice in an effort to get Mel B to take back her X buzzer.

Though Simon refused to take his shirt off entirely, the AGT judge and creator was game to lift up his shirt on stage — and show off a glimpse of his abs in the process — which impressed much of the audience.

Ultimately, Simon’s efforts earned the group four yeses from the judges — and gave fans a memorable moment that will go down in AGT history. Here’s what went down.

Osaka Philharmonic delivered a unique audition that showed off their musical talents.

Ahead of their audition, Osaka Philharmonic, who hails from Japan, said they wanted to compete on AGT because they wanted to “show their performance all over the world.”

They also said they were taking the idea of winning very seriously. “If we don’t win, we will break up,” a member of the group said on stage, to which Simon pointed out, “No one has ever said that before.”

The other judges were shocked by the amount of pressure that the group was putting on themselves, but eager to see what they would do on stage.

Finally, the group delivered their unique performance, which consisted of one member taking what appeared to be a glow stick and dipping it into a bucket of dry ice. The rest of the group then lifted their shirts, showing letters and a music note written on their chests.

With harmonicas in their mouths, the group’s leader touched the glow stick to their nipples, resulting in each man playing a note that matched the letter on their chest. The group played “Symphony No. 9” by Beethoven with their harmonicas, but by the end, Mel B was unimpressed and hit her X buzzer.

“It’s too painful,” she insisted, as Simon asked, “What!? Are you crazy?”

Mel B’s offer changed everything for Simon.

After their act, the judges gave their honest feedback, with Mel saying she “didn’t get it and didn’t really like it.” The leading member of Osaka Philharmonic eventually encouraged Simon to “try it” and invited him on stage.

Initially, Simon said, “What? No way. Are you kidding?” But he had a change of heart when Mel B insisted she would to take back her X if he took them up on their offer.

“Do you want to freeze my nipples?” Simon asked, before the crowd started chanting his name. He then walked up on stage to join Osaka Philharmonic. Though he refused to take off his shirt entirely, Simon said he would lift it high enough to participate in the act.

“How do I do it? Do I suck or blow?” he quipped as he took one of their harmonicas and put it to his mouth.

Simon gave a glimpse of his abs and wowed the crowd in the process.

Upon lifting his shirt, the crowd was visibly shocked by his toned physique and began to scream in delight and raise their eyebrows.

“Whoa!” one contestant said backstage while watching the moment unfold on a nearby monitor.

Simon was a good sport and ultimately allowed the Osaka Philharmonic member to freeze his nipples, as host Terry Crews joked, “Judges gone wild!”

Simon tried his hand at the musical act.

Later, upon Howie’s encouragement to “play them,” Simon got his chance to be the leader of the musical group and touch the glow stick to the members’ nipples.

He found immense humor in it, pausing to laugh hysterically several times on stage, but followed through with his word.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this!” he laughed, as the other judges burst into a fit of laughter from behind the judging panel.

Ultimately, Simon’s participation in the act advanced the group to the next round.

Thanks to Simon’s humor, willingness to have fun and lighthearted attitude, Mel B took back her X and said she was giving Osaka Philharmonic a yes.

“I’m gonna take my X back!” she said. “When you move forward, incorporate Simon again because if Simon’s involved, definitely yes from me.”

Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara also gave a yes to the group, before Simon quipped: “I want you to freeze my nipples again. Four yeses.”

“I’m actually losing my mind,” he added in a final moment.
